Hear from missionaries to Asia in North Norfolk
Come and hear from missionaries about reaching out to the people of Asia spread around the world at a half day event organised by OMF in East Runton on April 13. Tony Rothe reports.
Three missionary speakers will share their experiences in a presentation entitled “Never a Dull Moment - Lives In Mission” before everyone enjoys a fish and chip lunch.
The speakers are:
Tim Walker, who spent 8 years planting a church in Nyoro, Japan and now works to share Christ with East Asians in the UK. He will speak on Reaching the Asian population in the UK.
Tim Jenkins, pictured right, OMF's East UK representative, seeking to serve churches in sending missionaries. He will talk about the Biblical basis for Mission.
Guido Braschi, whose talk is entitled “New Horizons”.
Guido and his wife Linda, pictured above have just retired from a ministry that took them around the world, establishing partnerships with emerging mission organisations to work with them in ministry to East Asian people. This is an excellent opportunity to hear such an experienced missionary talk about how God works in lives internationally.
Tim Jenkins says “Becoming dependant on God is vital in life and in missions. God’s Word is there to equip us to become fishers of men. This is an opportunity to hear from missionaries about reaching out to the people of Asia spread around the world, and also a little closer to home. You will also find out how you can be involved.”
OMF is a missionary organisation which seeks to serve the church and to bring the gospel to all the peoples of East Asia. Their work is as diverse as the places and people they work in and amongst. From church planting to missional business, student work to medical practice, they aim to present the gospel, in a culturally relevant way, through word and deed.
The event will run from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday April 13.
The venue is the old East Runton Methodist chapel, situated on the main road through the village, and currently used by Cromer Baptist Church. NR27 9NZ.
