Norwich church giving out 150 food hampers

Gateway Vineyard church in Norwich is giving 150 food hampers to individuals and families across the city as part of the Love Christmas initiative.

The 150 food hampers and a number of goody bags are going to individuals, couples and families identified by charities Leeway and English Plus as well as families nominated through church members and its Growkids initiative.

Zosia Knight, from Gateway, said: “The finance has come from a number of sources - physical food donations, individual financial gifts, Gateway church finances and a grant from Love Your Neighbour.

"Through Love Christmas, we can bring comfort as we reach out and share bags of kindness with those around us. Inspire a contagious culture of kindness. And let people know that we are with them and they are not alone."

Love Christmas is a project through Love Your Neighbour, a national initiative administered through Holy Trinity Brompton.
