Receptionist vacancy at the Diocese of Norwich
The Diocese is looking for someone to join our communications team to be the initial point of contact at Diocesan House.
37.5 hours per week
Salary band: £16,841 to £20,316
Due to the retirement of our previous Receptionist, the Diocese is looking for someone to join our communications team to be the initial point of contact at Diocesan House.
You will be the friendly face of Diocesan House: welcoming and directing visitors, taking telephone calls and responding to queries and committee room bookings. You will also be responsible for postage sent to and from Diocesan House as well as assisting with a range of administrative tasks.
The role will be pivotal to the smooth running of the Diocesan offices. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and customer service skills (including face-to-face, over the telephone and in writing). They will also need to possess the ability to prioritise according to changing requests and work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the Church of England would be advantageous.
This full-time role is based at Diocesan House in Easton, near Norwich.
• 37.5 hours per week
• Salary: Band B (Starting at £16,841)
• Contributory pension plan; health care cash-plan (after 6 months)
• 25 days holiday per annum, plus statutory bank holidays and discretionary Christmas holiday
• Start date: 2 January 2020
