Lea Jamieson to speak at Holt worship celebration
“A Prayer Journey” will be the subject of a talk by Lea Jamieson when she speaks at the North Norfolk Filling Station meeting on October 28.
This will be the Filling Station’s second meeting at Holt Community Centre, which is next to Budgens in the town centre.
Lea had a varied career in midwifery, retiring as Head of Professional Midwifery at Kings College London University after the first degree midwives graduated.
Since 1980 she has been led in an Enabling Prayer Ministry, running regular retreats in Finland during a recent nine-year period and enjoying invitations to different Christian denominations, including Pentecostals, Roman Catholics, Baptists and predominantly Evangelical Church of England Congregations.
Her emphasis is on deepening a relationship with God through Contemplative Prayer or Christian Meditation. Lea shares a traditional approach as well as imaginative prayer journeys based on Bible truths and stories. Several her prayer sessions are recorded on CD's.
Everyone is welcome for an evening of fellowship and worship followed by the main talk. There will also be a time for prayer ministry at the end. The evening starts at 7pm for coffee, cakes and chat, with the talk from around 7.30pm.
Using weekday evening ‘celebrations’ offering high quality speakers, contemporary sung worship and accessible prayer ministry, the North Norfolk Filling Station seeks to offer a further informal way of expressing the Christian faith. It is part of a growing non-denominational network which now has over 100 meetings within the UK attended by 5000 people. For further details please see: www.thefillingstation.org.uk
Holt Community Centre is at Kerridge Way, Holt, Norfolk, NR25 6DN, with plenty of parking in Budgens car park next door.
