Are you looking for an exciting new challenge?
We are looking for an experienced professional to support young people under the age of 19 affected by substance misuse issues. You will need experience of working directly with young people, have a relevant qualification or experience and an understanding of the issues facing young people in relation to drug and alcohol use.
You will provide advice and informal education to young people in Norfolk, raising awareness of the risks of drugs and alcohol through informal outreach and targeted work. You will provide one to one sessions for young people, group work, drop-ins and awareness-raising sessions at various events and venues.
The role will involve providing support and advice to the team as well as deputising for the Practitioner Manager. An important element is also publicising the Unity service and representing it at meetings.
Unity is a partnership between: The Matthew Project, Norfolk Carers Support and Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
The office base for this post is Great Yarmouth but will cover a wider geographical area across East and North Norfolk. The work will be carried out within the service location and in the community; the ability to travel is essential.
