Norwich church leaders gather for training and inspiration
On May 1 over 70 leaders from churches across Norwich and beyond gathered together at SOUL Church's 'Open House' event for a day of training and support.
SOUL Church held the first of its twice yearly ‘Open House’ days on Tuesday, May 1. The Norwich church welcomed over 70 leaders from across Norfolk for a day of sharing ideas together; helping launch churches into a new season of growth.
Delegates started the day with worship, before hearing from Pastor Shaun Lewarne of the fast-growing Rivers Church in Johannesburg. After a break for lunch and the opportunity to meet others, the gathering split into groups to focus on different areas of ministry, including children’s work, teens and young adults, creatives and leadership.
Everyone joined together for the day’s final session – an informative Q&A with Rev Ian Dyble of St Thomas Norwich, leading Christian Growth and Leadership Coach Andrew Cherrie, and SOUL Church’s own Pastor Jon Norman.
Pastor Jon Norman said: “It was exciting to open our doors to leaders from a wide range of denominations, joining together to share our experiences and to help one another reach out to the people of our city”.
If you missed the event and you would like to come to the next one, or if you found it informative and would like to come back for more, SOUL Church is holding the next Open House on Tuesday, October 30, 10.30am – 3pm (includes a free lunch).
