Yarmouth Christians sleeping out again to help homeless
This year Great Yarmouth is hosting two Advent Sleepouts to raising money and awareness for the Church Urban Fund and The Living Room charity in Great Yarmouth. Tony Rothe reports.
This year’s Advent Sleepout in the porch of Great Yarmouth Minster will take place on Friday December 1. The Identity Youth Project will be running a similar event on Friday December 8.
The Church Urban Fund works to support local churches to bring about change in poor communities by coming alongside those who lack hope or self-belief, to encourage, enable and equip them to take control of their lives.
The Living Room started last winter in Great Yarmouth to support rough sleepers during the winter months, and will be expanding to 3 nights of the week in 3 venues this winter.
