Norwich chance to explore Places of Welcome network

There is an opportunity to find out more about Places of Welcome, a growing network of small community organisations, including faith communities, which offer an unconditional welcome to local people, at a Norwich church on November 13.

Diocese of Norwich’s church urban officer, Rev Peter Howard, said: “Places of Welcome is a growing network of hospitality run by local community groups which want to make sure that everyone in their area has a place to go for a friendly face, a cup of tea and a conversation if and when they need it.
“The primary aim of the Places of Welcome network is that ‘Every neighbourhood has places where all people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute.’
“We hope to bring the network to Norfolk and Waveney so if you are interested please come along and hear from Sarah Turner, who has been involved in developing the network in other parts of the country.”
The event takes place at St Francis Church, Rider Haggard Road, Heartsease, Norwich, NR7 9UQ, on Monday November 13, 11.30am—3pm, including a light Lunch included.
