Barbara Rowe said : “Our aim is to provide a safe and comfortable space offering friendship, respect, support and a hot meal to the vulnerable, lonely, displaced and homeless within our community.

"Sadly, we have recently been experiencing an upsurge in the number of clients requiring our services and advice – around 90 meals are served each session and an increased number of clients are seeking advice and/or signposting to local support agencies.”

Users of the Pathway Cafe and Resource Centre in Great Yarmouth are given access to support networks. This service relies on generous support provided by the team of volunteers, visiting support agencies, funding grants, and fresh food donations from local food outlet stores and other sources.

Volunteers are provided with development opportunities such as 'Foundation Course - Good Practice for Food Handlers within the Catering Environment' developed in collaboration with Great Yarmouth College.  Four volunteers have gained Level 2 Food Standard Agency Certificate.

There is an Open Day in June to celebrate the service and progression with a buffet lunch to give clients and volunteers information about their services and how to access them.

The Pathway Choir is newly formed and meets on Wednesdays with members drawn from both the ministry's client group and volunteers.
