Patrick Regan to speak on suffering at Lynn church

Christian speaker and charity CEO Patrick Regan OBE and singer songwriter Andy Flannagan are coming to King’s Lynn Baptist Church to talk honestly about what you do when your life falls apart.

King’s Lynn Baptist Church will host the ‘When Faith Gets Shaken’ tour on Sunday, March 26, 7-9pm creating an opportunity to honesty explore the deep questions that arise when everything seems to be going wrong at once.
Patrick Regan OBE, a renowned public speaker and CEO of Christian charity XLP, wrestled with these questions when suffering rocked his world. Facing limb reconstruction surgery, having his father diagnosed with cancer and with his daughter falling ill, Patrick’s faith was shaken to its core.
Patrick found that the comments that came from many well-meaning people often caused more harm than good. There is a real need for Christians to have the courage to be vulnerable and accept the uncertainties of life. It is from this painful place that Patrick will be sharing his experience.
Based on the critically acclaimed book, When Faith Gets Shaken, the latest leg of this limited date tour, also features singer songwriter Andy Flannagan and his highly successful album ‘Drowning in the Shallow’. The demand to engage on this topic has led to 26 tour dates being put on in partnership with local churches across the country, signaling the need to grapple with these issues.
The subject matter is one that has resonated with Chris Brock from King’s Lynn Baptist Church.  Chris’s wife of 17 years, Ruth, died of Motor Neurone Disease in 2012 aged just 43.  Chris read Patrick’s book as part of his grieving and recovery and through that invited the ‘When Faith Gets Shaken’ tour to King’s Lynn.
Chris said: “We can’t wait to be joined by Patrick and Andy for what will be a very personal and powerful evening. I know that so many people in King’s Lynn have had their world rocked so the opportunity to open my church up to engage on such an important topic was as simple decision. The evening is open to everyone because suffering affects us all, whether you’re Christian or not.”
You can join Patrick and Andy as they wrestle with how we can know God’s peace when life is anything but peaceful and how we can allow ourselves the grace to rest when we’re running on empty.
Tickets cost £5 and are available to reserve via email from Chris Brock at
King’s Lynn Baptist Church, Wisbech Road, King’s Lynn, PE30 5JS
