Exploring Norfolk Churches 201
Explore Norfolk’s churches with a new guide

Each year the Diocese of Norwich produces a free guide of churches in Norfolk and Waveney which are open during weekdays as well as on Sundays and the latest booklet is available now

The booklet, which details over 550 churches, is available to pick up at Tourist Information Centres, museums, libraries and other places of interest across Norfolk and in parts of Suffolk. The free booklet contains descriptions of the churches, plus photos, location information and website details.

Norfolk is a county full of the beautiful churches from tiny Saxon parish churches to the great Cathedral of Norwich there is so much to see and enjoy. Whether you’re in the Brecks, on the Broads, at the coast or in the many beautiful towns and villages – historic churches abound and each one is a treasure just waiting to be discovered and they all have story to tell.

Speaking of the booklet, Church Development Officer Caroline Rawlings said: "We are extremely proud about the launch of this year's booklet. It gives visitors an opportunity to discover the beauty and variety of our wonderful churches, and shares their fascinating stories, exploring just a fraction of what they have to offer.
This year is especially exciting as we have included new information such as illustrating churches which have Angel roofs, following on from a superb book on Angel roofs by Michael Rimmer. We hope that many will enjoy using the booklet as a guide to visiting the wonderful churches we have in this Diocese.”

The booklets, which are available now for free, are perfect for exploring Norfolk and Waveney over the Easter break.

The booklet is available to view online, download or request by post at: http://www.dioceseofnorwich.org/visiting/guides/ or 01603 882351.
