Cromer’s new vicar is former curate
2015: The Rev Dr James Porter will be returning to Cromer as vicar having previously been curate in the town from 2005 to 2009.
He replaces Rev David Court (pictured below) who moved to Lincolnshire last September to take up his new role as Bishop of Grimsby following 11 years’ service in the town.
The vacant Cromer post will be filled later on this year, around the middle of 2015, by Rev Porter, who is currently rector at St Mary’s in West Horsley near Guildford in Surrey.
Cromer Parish Church is an Anglican church in the Church of England Diocese of Norwich. It comprises two church buildings: the Parish Church (dedicated to St Peter and St Paul) in the town centre and St Martin's in Mill Road, in the Suffield Park area of town.
