Matthew Project Recovery Practitioner in Essex
Recovery Practitioner (Outside the Wire) - Colchester
£19,847 - £21,481
*37 Hours per week
Fixed term contract for six months
Are you ex-forces and looking for a challenging and rewarding role?
Are you passionate about recovery from substance misuse?
We have an exciting opportunity for a position working with serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, Reservists and their families who have issues with alcohol and drug misuse. You will work with individuals, undertaking referrals and assessments, managing a caseload, completing recovery care plans, and providing information, advice and needle exchange to substance users.
A key responsibility of the role will be to collect data, statistics and client case stories to support the future funding of the service, therefore you must be highly organised, with good administrative and report writing skills.
The office base for this post is Colchester but will involve travel across Essex, therefore the ability to drive and access to a car is essential. Evening work may sometimes be necessary depending on the needs of the clients.
This post is restricted to veterans of the Armed Forces and is funded by The Royal British Legion. This is a six month contract but with the possibility of extension. The hours advertised are 37, but we will consider applications from those who want to work less hours over a longer period.
We also have a vacancy for a 15 hour position in Suffolk and will consider combining both positions and adjusting the hours/duration as needed.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, of any faith or none. You will join a charity that has a Christian ethos and you will share our focus on our mission, our values, our clients and colleagues with a strong team spirit. We offer a rewarding, challenging role with our commitment to well-being and development.
