London speaker for North Norfolk worship meeting

Philippa Savile 402CFThe North Norfolk branch of the Filling Station will welcome Philippa Savile from Holy Trinity Brompton in London as guest speaker at their September meeting.

Philippa lives in Tooting in south-west London with an ever-changing household of her children and extended family and lodgers.  Having trained and worked as an Occupational Therapist, she is now community-based in creative arts and working with adults and children with additional needs and their families.

Philippa has worshipped at HTB since 1982, and was a co-founder of the HTB ministry ‘Our Tent’ for children with additional needs.  She leads a weekly Bible study, is involved in prayer ministry, greatly enjoys welcoming those visiting from all over the world and enjoys being part of the HTB community.

Although Philippa has never known a day when she has not known and loved Jesus and known His love for her, there have been signposts in her life that marked out a deepening of her relationship with Him.  Most of these signposts to growth have been rooted in adversity rather than found in the easier parts of her life.  She will talk to us about some of these experiences when she speaks about “I have pitched my tent in the Land of Hope’.

The Filling Station, which was born out of the Church of England in the West Country, has grown exponentially in terms of venues opening all over the United Kingdom and continues to serve and refresh both Church leaders, congregations and more importantly to open the eyes of those who are seeking answers to the meaning of life through the Christian faith.  The Filling Station is helping to bring unity amongst believers from across the whole Church spectrum.

Everyone is warmly invited on Monday September 25 for an evening of fellowship, wonderful worship followed by the main talk. There will also be a time for prayer ministry at the end of the evening. Coffee and cakes will be available from  7pm with the meeting starting at 7.30pm.
