Ludham open gardens event will boost church funds
The pretty Broads village of Ludham is opening up its gardens this weekend to help boost its historic church, St Catherine’s.
The Ludham open gardens event is on Sunday, June 25 between 11am and 5pm. Visitors will be able to visit 12 scenic gardens, some of which stretch down to Womack Water.
There will be free ferry trips across the Broad and live music and wherries and heritage boats to view. The event will also feature classic cars, art displays, garden and composting advice and several refreshment points.
Tickets are £6.50 which gives admission to all the gardens and includes free a ferry trip and a free map. A souvenir brochure to remember the day will also be available. There is free parking but no dogs are allowed.
The event, which is organised by the Friends of St Catherine’s Church, always attracts over 2,000 visitors a year.
