Theologian to speak at N Norfolk meeting
Theologian Freddy Hedley will be the guest speaker at the January meeting of The Filling Station in Swanton Novers. His talk will be "Finding God on the Page and in Person”.
Freddy is Director of Fountain School of Theology, which facilitates accredited and non-accredited theological study in Norfolk. He also serves on the staff team of Fountain of Life Church, Ashill.
From 2010-16 he was Hub Director for Westminster Theological Centre, with whom Fountain School of Theology works in partnership, and he has previously worked with the pioneering organisations Anglican Church Planting Initiatives and Fresh Expressions.
His work as a theologian focuses primarily on the Old Testament, especially its theme of covenant, and what it means to be made in the image of God. But he has also taught and written on aspects of New Testament exegesis, missiology and ecclesiology.
He has written and contributed to a number of articles, books, and courses, and speaks at many churches and events across the UK and in Europe. Freddy is married to Ali, and together they have two young daughters.
The Filling Station, which was born out of the Church of England in the West Country, has grown exponentially in terms of venues opening all over the United Kingdom and continues to serve and refresh both Church leaders and congregations. It endeavours to open the eyes of those who are seeking answers to the meaning of life through the Christian faith and is helping to bring unity amongst believers from across the whole Church spectrum.
Organiser Tasha North says “If you have ever heard Freddy speak you will know what exceptional insights he brings, and if you have never heard him speak on the Bible then you are in for a real treat. So, do come and join us for an evening of fellowship and wonderful worship, followed by the main talk.”
The meeting is on Monday 23rd of January at Swanton Novers Village Hall, St Giles Road, Swanton Novers, Melton Constable, NR24 2RB. Please feel able to arrive at from 7pm for coffee, cakes and chat, for a 7.30pm start. There will also be a time for prayer ministry at the end of the evening.
