Community radio pops up in Aylsham church

PopCorn  Grace Logo 373Local community radio station Pop Corn and Grace will take to the airwaves again this week, for the third year running, based at Aylsham Parish Church. Tony Rothe reports.

 
The radio campaign runs from Tuesday July 26 to Friday July 29, and listeners can tune in any time – day and night - during that period.
 
The radio shows are being written, produced and broadcast by local people of all ages. The topics include:

  • Star-gazing , but not the celebrity kind
  • Recycling – how we can do more to “make do and mend” our world
  • “Spotlight on The Southrepps Chorale” – join in with some Community Singing
  • Explore Messy Church
  • Aylsham in Bloom
  • Ask questions about growing potatoes, roses and all kinds of things with Gardening Live
  • Four Lunchtime Music Boxes – Fame and Faith is one
  • Polish up your trombone for Bold as Brass
  • “The Swedish Connection”
  • Join in with “Communion Live”
  • An Alibi – a play recorded by members of the team
  • The River Bure - now and then
  • Back by popular demand – “Storytime” with Issy and the Littlies
  • “It was Almost Alright on the Night” – a fun catalogue of AmDram mishaps and some triumphs
  • Grave Talk II – a follow up on last year’s look at “Dying with Style”
  • “Legs Benedict” – a pilgrimage through Italy
  • ”Momentous Times “ our four part radio play taken from the diaries of 5 women in WWI
  • How to start a Micro-Brewery
  • Articles about food, Social Action, lively breakfast shows
