More high profile speakers at N Norfolk church
The Stir 16 campaign at Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham continues with more high profile guest speakers in August and September. Tony Rothe reports.
The June event featured Rob and Marion White, senior leaders of Life Church in Wilmslow and co-founders of Hope for Justice, a charity that combats the practice of human trafficking across the world. July’s speaker was Brian Heasley, national director of the 24/7 Prayer movement.
The next Stir 16 evening will be on Sunday August 7, when Paul and Priscilla Reid from Belfast Christian Fellowship Church will speak.
Paul & Priscilla, pictured above, started a small house church in 1981 that eventually became Christian Fellowship Church in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After pioneering and leading this large church for many years, Paul and Priscilla now have a travelling ministry bringing their unique blend of solid and practical Bible teaching, prophetic insight and wisdom, brought from experience, to people around the globe, all delivered with trademark Irish wit and a tender love for God’s people.
Roy Crowne, right, will be the campaign’s final guest speaker, on Sunday September 4. Roy became HOPE Together Executive Director in March 2010 and was previously the National Director of Youth for Christ in Britain for 12 years. He was one of the founders of HOPE 08 which closed its office in 2009. Since then many churches, denominations and agencies have endorsed its re-commencement. He is very excited about Hope going forwards, which will bring Word and Deed missions to many villages, towns and cities. He is the most positive and enthusiastic HOPE visionary you could ever meet.
Roy continues his preaching, teaching and mentoring of younger leaders and has written and edited a peer-to-peer evangelistic training course, called 'The Art of Connecting'. Roy is married to Flossie, lives in Rugby and they have two sons, John and Michael.
The Stir 16 evenings start at 7pm, with coffee from 6.30pm. The venue is Lighthouse Community Church, 62 Cromer Road, Sheringham NR26 8RT.
