Cromer Beach mission seeks team members

The Cromer Beach Mission team are planning this summer’s outreach, and are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team. Tony Rothe reports.

Once again this year, Cromer Scripture Union Beach Mission will be sharing the Good News about Jesus with local and holidaying children and their families during the first two weeks of August. With events in the morning, afternoon and evening, for all ages, the team are able to get the know the children well during the fortnight, and often build lasting relationships.

Cromer Beach Mission 420CFHannah Beal, one of the organisers, said “This will be the 149th Mission in Cromer, the message is the same but the presentation more 21st century. The teaching is Scripture based and given in fun and relevant ways. This year we will be focussing on Paul, whose life was turned round by encountering Jesus.”

The team are looking for more team members, aged anywhere from 18 to 80-plus years. The local churches give invaluable support and home comforts to the team, who travel to Cromer from all over the country, and come from a range of church backgrounds.

Hannah said “We are hoping some folk feel this is how they are being called to serve - how could they resist a fortnight in sunny Cromer having lots of fun?”

New volunteers are always welcome: to find out more visit http://www.cromersubm.org.uk  or contact David Orsborne (mission administrator) on 01263 515497.
