Founder to speak at N Norfolk worship meeting
Rev'd James Nickols, one of the founders and assistant directors of The Filling Station worship gatherings, will be speaking at the North Norfolk event later this month. Tony Rothe reports.
James is responsible for all The Filling Station meetings in the South East of England and East Anglia, and has a wealth of experience as a pastor and teacher. His passion is to see Christians living in the fullness of their personal relationship with Christ.
The evening, on Monday February 22, is entitled 'Practical Prophetic: Listening To God At Home And At Work' and James will be focussing on the practical aspects of hearing from God, drawing on his wide-ranging experiences.
The Filling Station, which was born out of the Church of England in the west country, has been growing rapidly with venues opening all over the UK. It continues to serve and refresh both Church leaders and congregations, and more importantly helps to open the eyes of those who are seeking answers to the meaning of life through the Christian faith. The Filling Station is helping to bring unity amongst believers from across the whole Church spectrum.
The evening starts at 7.00pm and will include coffee, cake, chat, excellent worship, and interesting talk and prayer ministry. The venue is: Swanton Novers Village Hall, St Giles Road, Swanton Novers, Melton Constable, NR24 2RB.
Sabine Leese, one of the organisers, says “The Filling Station is a new informal way of expressing the Christian faith. Using local mid-week monthly celebration meetings in unusual venues we find that the local Church is strengthened and helped in many ways. The Filling Station is not a new Church denomination, rather a group of Christians who are celebrating their faith in God in an informal and authentic fashion. Do come and join us at one of our local meetings.”
Future Monday meetings are planned as follows:
March 28 – Rev’d Martin Down: The Filling Station, Witney
April 25 — Dave Elverson: Global Legacy, Norwich
May 23 - Ash Kotecha: Milton Keynes
June 27 — John Wright: Norwich
No Meetings in July & August
