South Norfolk convent offers Christian retreats

Holy Cross HouseQuiet days, prayer weekends and a chance to experience convent life are some of the events offered at All Hallows Convent in Ditchingham. The weekend and day retreats take place in beautiful rural surroundings on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.

All Hallows is an Anglican Religious Community, but the retreats are open to anyone who feels they would benefit from coming.

The majority of retreats are restricted to 12 participants and are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. All weekend retreats commence at 6.30pm on Friday evening and finish on Sunday afternoon. Guests need to bring their own towels, soap etc and a Bible, notebook and pen may also be useful.

The cost of a weekend retreat, including all meals, accommodation and use of the facilities is £110 per person (concessions apply, please contact All Hallows for details).

Day retreats and Quiet days run from 10am until 4.30pm and cost £12. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch when attending day retreats, but all drinks will be provided.

  • In addition to the retreat programme, there is the opportunity to explore life with the Community of All Hallows at two taster events entitled "Get thee to a monastery" running at All Hallows House in Norwich on 24th April and at All Hallows in Ditchingham from 20 - 21st April. There are 6 places available at each event for women only.
