Norfolk evangelist Les has a passion for life

Les MooreNorfolk based evangelist Les Moore is passionate about bringing the message of Jesus to people in their own environment and will be involved in the Passion for Life mission coming to Norwich in March. Surrey Chapel pastor Tom Chapman reports.

Les Moore is a full time evangelist working for local Christian mission organisation Norfolk Evangelism, and is passionate about bringing the message of Jesus to the places where people themselves live.

“Passion for Life has many exciting opportunities for people able to get out and about in Norwich”, he says. “My role in this is to reach those who are unable to attend mission events in the city. I am taking the Easter message in visual form to as many venues as possible during the main mission month of March”

Les has developed programmes for a variety of different age groups. He has a particular concern for people living in retirement homes and sheltered accommodation. Les is pictured above speaking in a retirement home. He says, “I present one hour programme using the large visual cross to cover the themes of redemption, death and resurrection and our need to become re-united to God. This programme can be split in two halves with refreshments served in between. Hymns old and new will be on a big screen against a background of fantastic lakeland scenery. Part of the message will also be presented through a short video recording in which two lawyers debate, before a judge, issues for and against the resurrection of Christ."

Drawing on his considerable experience of leading holiday clubs in church across the county, Les has also developed a two hour Easter Experience for children, with an interactive game football and volleyball. And the adults need not miss out, for there is a similar programme available for them, with crafts, volleyball and of course the good news of Jesus.

Les already has a number of bookings across the county, but is available for further engagements. He’s keen to hear from anyone who could make use of his programme in their church or school, village hall or a local retirement home.
